Blaise Ingoglia Announces Campaign For Florida CFO

DeSantis Appointee Pledges to Hold Insurers Accountable, Cut Property Taxes and Cut Out Waste, Fraud and Abuse

TAMPA, FL – Florida’s Chief Financial Officer Blaise Ingoglia announced his campaign for a full term today. Previously, Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Blaise Ingoglia on July 21st to fill the vacancy in the CFO role left by now Congressman Jimmy Patronis.

“Today, I’m officially launching my campaign for Florida’s Chief Financial Officer because families and taxpayers deserve a trusted, conservative fighter to make Florida more affordable,” said CFO Ingoglia. “I’m thankful to Governor DeSantis for putting his trust in me and appointing me to stand strong on key priorities— lowering property taxes,  auditing local governments, holding insurance companies accountable and supporting our brave first responders in my role as Chief Fire Marshal. I promise you, nobody will work harder than I will to deliver on these promises. Florida is a beacon of freedom and opportunity and I will fight to ensure they don’t “New York Our Florida!”

Ingoglia entered the political scene in 2007 as an activist when property taxes skyrocketed. He produced a series of hugely successful live seminars showing taxpayers how the government squandered their hard-earned money, entitled Government Gone Wild. This resulted in Ingoglia unseating the career, big government, tax-and-spend county commissioners from office who refused to offer property tax relief in Hernando County in 2008.

This grit and determination elected Ingoglia to the Florida House in 2014, and the Chair of the Republican Party of Florida in January of 2015, with a subsequent re-election in 2017. In 2020, he was elected to the Florida Senate, where he earned a reputation as a “conservative pitbull” for sponsoring legislation on illegal immigration, election integrity, and tax cuts.

Today, as Florida’s CFO, Blaise remains as committed as ever to tackling government waste and overreach. He tells it like it is and is unafraid to fight the establishment if it means delivering results for Florida citizens and taxpayers.
